Thor raised the alarm, his persistent screeching waking the family, allowing them to evacuate and seek medical attention in time.

When wrappers and half-eaten chocolate bars began to appear all over an estate in Cheshire in 2023, rumours and accusations began to fly. But who was the litterbug responsible? Well, it turned out to be litter squirrels. The mystery, humorously dubbed ‘Wafergate,’ was solved when locals found a stash of the bars in a skip, and later observed squirrels pilfering the chocolate.

When a baby elephant in Thailand believed one of her caretakers was drowning, she stomped into action. The scenario was part of a staged test and the man wasn’t at risk, but four-year-old Kham La demonstrated some very real bravery, rushing into the river and using her trunk to lift and guide him toward dry land.
