Situated on the world-famous Great Barrier Reef, the beachfront pool at the exclusive Orpheus Island Lodge may be a contender for the widest infinity pool in the world, at 25 metres, or 82 feet. The pool is in one of the most picturesque locations on Earth, mirroring the turquoise waters of the Coral Sea and offering uninterrupted views of the ocean beyond.

Four Seasons, Jimbaran Bay, Bali | 57 metres

The Sundara Beach Club at the Four Seasons in Jimbaran Bay is home to one of the planet’s most picturesque infinity pools. Sitting on Bali’s southwest tip with astonishing views of the Indian Ocean, one of the largest infinity pools in the world runs parallel with the white sandy beach. The rectangular pool with its geometric tiles is a design classic, and swimmers can take a sunset dip while taking in the stunning ocean views.

Cape Weligama, Sri Lanka | 60 metres

On the southern tip of Sri Lanka overlooking the expanse of the Indian Ocean, the luxurious clifftop resort of Cape Weligama is a luxurious and jaw-droppingly beautiful destination.

It’s also home to a contender for the biggest infinity pool in the world, a 60 metre crescent-shaped pool offering a 270-degree coastline view dubbed one of the best in Sri Lanka.

Address Beach Resort, Dubai | 95 metres

With stunning views over Ain Dubai, the largest ferris wheel in the world, and Jumeirah Beach, the record-breaking pool at the Address Beach Resort may not be the world’s largest infinity pool but it is the highest infinity pool in the world, at a staggering 294 metres. It’s also a contender for the world’s widest infinity pool, at 16.5 metres, or 54.1 feet.

Marina Bay Sands, Singapore | 146 metres

One of the largest infinity pools in the world, the stunning pool at the Marina Bay Sands hotel has a 146 metre vanishing edge and sits atop the three iconic towers, 57 stories above the ground. Built using 191 tonnes of stainless steel, it and contains over 1.7 million litres of water.

There is however an argument to suggest that the pool is 146 metres wide – given it stretches the width of the three towers – but however you measure it, the Marina Bay Sands pool remains one of the world’s biggest infinity pools.

The Mulia, Bali | 157 metres

The Oasis Pool at the exclusive Mulia resort in Bali is the biggest infinity pool in the world by length. The 157 metre pool is one of the most iconic – and Instagrammed – infinity pools in the world.

Lined by five-metre high statues of Balinese women carrying their wares in head baskets, they also hold sheaves of rice which are local symbols of prosperity.
