Author and explorer Levison Wood sets out on another gruelling journey, testing body and mind as he tackles the unforgiving and ever-changing terrain across Africa.
Walking the entire length of the river Nile and through six African nations, Levison’s year-long journey begins at the source – Rwanda. With local tour guide ‘Boston’ in tow, Levison’s expedition starts high up in the hills of the picturesque Nyungwe forest, continuing on to follow the shore of Lake Victoria.
Through palm-fringed shores, desolate terrains, impenetrable mangrove swamps and modern city centres, Levison unearths the many layers to Africa rarely captured in its entirety.
